  <AccordionContent type="xhtml" UID="ed5e88e9bb80fbe415ae864e2b98fab5" label="Accordion Content" readonly="false" hidden="false" required="false" indexable="false" openByDefault="false" CharacterLimit="" Height="" CIID="">&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Ben and Maxine Lowell Scholarship&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;This scholarship was made possible by Bill &amp;rsquo;82 M.S. &amp;rsquo;83 and Jan Lowell to honor the memory of their parents, Ben and Maxine Lowell. The award will be made to a student who is cognizant of the importance of honoring their mother and/or father or guardian(s) and making them proud throughout their college career.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Communication Department Scholar Endowment&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This scholarship was established by Professor Emerita Patricia Townsend. This scholarship is awarded to a student who has been recommended by the Department of Communication and is studying in any program within the department.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Communication Department Ambassadors&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;br /&gt;This scholarship is awarded to students majoring in any emphasis of communication. These students are selected to serve as the &amp;ldquo;face&amp;rdquo; of the UW-Whitewater Department of Communication.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Peter and Katherine Conover Endowed Scholarship&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This scholarship was made possible by Department of Communication Professor Emeritus Peter Conover and his wife, Katherine. This scholarship is designed for a junior or senior with a declared major in communication/electronic media, broadcast/print/web journalism or media arts and game development.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Fassl Leadership Scholarship&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Fassl Leadership Scholarship has been established to reward the dedicated members of the UW-Whitewater Forensics Team who take on leadership roles and guide their peers. Preference is given to those who are returning executive board members for the UW-Whitewater Forensics Team.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;George Hafer Scholarship Fund&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Established by Edward Hung &amp;rsquo;77 in honor of Professor Emeritus George Hafer, this scholarship is awarded to a sophomore, junior or senior with a declared major in journalism.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Richard and Kathy Haven Political Communication Scholarship&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This scholarship is given to a communication or journalism student who is actively involved in Whitewater Student Government, UWW-TV, WSUW, PRSSA or Forensics. The award winner must also demonstrate a career interest in public service, reporting on the work of public officials.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Lowell Award for Excellence in Corporate and Health Communication&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This scholarship was made possible by Bill &amp;rsquo;82 M.S. &amp;rsquo;83 and Jan Lowell. Created to support and encourage highly qualified students in the corporate and health communication program, it is awarded to a student in their junior year.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Martino Journalism Scholarship&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Established by Sam Martino, retired member of the Department of Communication, this scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior who is majoring in communication with an emphasis in print journalism and is involved with the campus newspaper, the &lt;em&gt;Royal Purple&lt;/em&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Gunvor Stoos Excellence in Journalism Scholarship&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This Scholarship was established through a generous bequeathal from Mrs. Gunvor Stoos, a member of Theta Sigma Phi, an honorary journalism sorority, who served as editor for two publications, including the Wisconsin Agriculture Magazine.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Dr. Patricia A. Townsend Scholarship&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This scholarship was created by Professor Emerita Patricia Townsend, a faculty member for 32 years. It is awarded to a student who is majoring in communication.&lt;/p&gt;</AccordionContent>
