Special full-credential students <p>Students who have a conferred bachelor’s degree and wish to enroll only for undergraduate coursework are considered “special students with credentials.” Students in this classification are eligible to enroll in up to 18 credits and must meet the UW-Whitewater program grade point average requirement. These students are considered to have fulfilled Proficiency, General Education, Core, and Diversity requirements. Transfer credit evaluations and Academic Advising Reports (AARs) are not available for these students and formal advising is not required.</p> How to apply to UW-Whitewater <p>Complete the online <a href="https://apply.wisconsin.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Universities of Wisconsin Application</a>. If you are a former UW-Whitewater graduate you will apply as a readmit. If your first undergraduate degree was from an institution outside UW-Whitewater, you will apply as a transfer student.</p> What to expect next <p>A few days after you submit your application, you’ll receive an email with information about setting up an account for our student information system, WINS. You can track your application progress, such as what documents still might be needed.</p> Enrollment deposit <p>A one-time $100 enrollment deposit is required of all new undergraduate students. This amount will be added to your student account after you register for your first semester of classes and can be viewed through Wins.</p> Registration <p>Special students may register for courses only on a space-available basis. Students must register through <a href="/wins">WINS</a>, including signing and accepting terms and conditions.</p> <p>A schedule of class information is available through the <a href="/registrar/veteran-services">Registrar’s office</a>.</p> Advising <p>While academic advising is not required for special students, contacting an advising coordinator for assistance and/or referral may be necessary.
