In simple terms, it explores how and why people think, feel, and act the way they do.</p> <p>As a field, psychology connects science and humanity, helping us understand ourselves and others on a deeper level. Psychologists use objective observation, experimentation, and both quantitative and qualitative analysis to study the complexities of the human mind. As a psychology student, at UW-Whitewater, you’ll explore topics such as personality, learning, relationships, and mental health while developing strong skills in critical thinking, research, and communication. You can take part in unique co-curricular activities such as the <a href="https://nhvp.com/" target="_blank" title="Nursing Home Program website" rel="noopener">Nursing Home Visitation Program</a>, <a href="http://webqa.uww.edu/cls-new/departments/psychology#research" title="Undergraduate Research labs">undergraduate research</a>, and Psi Chi/Psychology Club.
