Events Cancelled Through Remainder of Season

As ever, the safety and wellbeing of our patrons, employees, and volunteers is of the utmost importance to us at Young Auditorium.  We have been monitoring the developing COVID-19 situation closely and are following all guidelines from local and state authorities.

Governor Tony Evers declared a public health emergency on Thursday, March 12.  In response to that decision, the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater has released a statement that all campus events will be cancelled beginning Saturday, March 14.  This includes all events scheduled at Young Auditorium.

 Cancellations will include:

  • The BFG – March 15
  • The BFG (Horizons Matinee Series) – March 16;
  • Drum TAO 2020 – March 18
  • Drum TAO Member Reception – March 18
  • Llama, Llama LIVE (Horizons Matinee Series) – April 1
  • EmiSunshine – April 3
  • Reduced Shakespeare Center – The Complete History of Comedy – April 17
  • An American In Paris- May 3

Patrons who have purchased tickets for any of the cancelled shows will be offered a gift certificate that may be applied to An American in Paris or any show of their choice in the upcoming 2020-2021 season.  A Young Auditorium staff member will personally reach out to patrons by phone in order to efficiently process these transactions.

We will continue to be in touch as the need arises, and we will act and adapt our plans as directed by university administration.  If you have any questions about the information in this message, please contact our main office 262-472-4444 or youngaud@uww.edu.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we navigate this situation.

 Be safe and be well,

Shannon Dozoryst, Director - Young Auditorium

These are unprecedented times in the events industry, and as an organization, Young Auditorium thanks you for your ongoing support. We appreciate your patience as we finalize all transactions related to our cancelled performances.

While we remain entirely optimistic about the future, we are counting on the help of our supporters as we look forward to our 2020-2021 season and beyond. We rely on ticket revenue to support general operations, so the temporary closure of our venue has had a significant impact on our organization. Investing in Young Auditorium now helps solidify our future as one of the area’s premier performing arts centers, and allows us to continue serving as a source of community-building and inspiration. Your support ensures that when you do attend your next Young auditorium performance or event, you feel the comfort, warmth and safety you are accustomed to.

 Please consider making a direct donation to our general fund. Simply follow the link below, and be sure to select Young Auditorium General Operations in the ‘designation’ field. Your help and support is truly appreciated!
