An annual musical event that entertains audiences with just the right amount of holiday warmth and cheer returns to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
The Gala Holiday Concert is Saturday, Dec. 6, in Young Auditorium.
This evening begins at 6 p.m. with an exquisite dinner, then continues with a silent auction at 7 p.m. and concert at 7:30 p.m.
"It is a phenomenal event, an absolute showcase for the Department of Music and the campus," said Glenn Hayes, professor of music. "There is a wonderful ambiance to the gala and we want to share that with people."
The event is also a scholarship fundraiser, Hayes said, that helps UW-Whitewater attract and retain high-quality students.
Tickets for the dinner are $24 per person and can be purchased via phone 262-472-2222 or online. Concert tickets for the general public are $15 and $10 for UW-Whitewater students and people over 65/under 18. There is a $2 per ticket fee if purchased at the door.
