Web Accessibility

Web accessibility refers to the practice of making websites usable by people of all abilities and disabilities. When sites are correctly designed, developed and edited, all users can have equal access to information and functionality.

The Web Support Team is commited to providing web-based information and services in an accessible manner to all users, including persons with disabilities. For your convenience, we have provided information on the Web accessibility standards created as part of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as well as various guidelines and resources for accessibility. (Please note: We will be reassessing the Web Accessibility standards with the upcoming movement to the WCAG 2.0 standards.)

It is imperative that we get the help of all content editors and campus web developers to ensure that they are doing their part in creating content and sites that meet these standards.
