Carmen Rivers earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education through UW-Milwaukee and her M.A.Ed from Carroll College (now Carroll University). She has been a Lecturer within the Early Childhood Education team at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater since 2008. In this role, she develops and teaches classes within the dual license early childhood education program, supervises students in student teaching placements, and advises students. Carmen is also a founding board member of the Wisconsin Nature Action Collaborative for Children, a small non-profit organization founded in 2008 with the intention to connect educators to the natural world so they feel more confident and comfortable helping children explore the wonders of nature. Carmen was the primary architect of the Early Child Care and Education program, and serves as the Program Coordinator and Advisor.
