Chancellor King, it says Corey A. King Welcome Address.

Chancellor King’s Welcome Address
Tania Limón Ramirez never imagined living in the jungles of Costa Rica, with bats nesting above her cabin’s doorway and the low-pitched roar of howler monkeys jarring her awake in the morning. That’s how the summer of 2023 began for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater student, who participated in the Organization for Tropical Studies’ Research Experience for Undergraduates program along with fellow Warhawks Miles McIntosh and Mireia Hernandez Justicia.
As part of Welcome Week, Chancellor King will address the campus at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, in Young Auditorium. This event will be a moment of celebration to recognize colleagues, reflect on achievements of the past year and set the tone for the next academic year. Additionally, researcher and author Zach Mercurio will give a presentation to kick off the campus initiative U Matter. Everyone matters at UW-Whitewater — together, we all have the power to ensure those around us experience how much they matter. This is the official launch of the U Matter initiative on campus.
