HR professionals often have bachelor’s degrees in non-HR fields. The Human Resource Management (HRM) graduate certificate is designed so they can acquire specific Human Resource Management knowledge in five broad areas.
Note: Students in the graduate certificate in Human Resource Management may enroll in the Master of Business Administration at UW-Whitewater if they meet the admission criteria for that program. Certificate courses that are part of the MBA program can count toward completion of that degree at a later date.

The Human Resource Management graduate certificate program requires completion of five courses (14 to 15 credits) that are all available online. More information on the program structure and courses can be viewed in the Graduate Catalog.

To qualify for admission to the certificate program, students must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution and meet graduate admission criteria.

Course materials
Graduate students can purchase textbooks and other instructional materials through the University Bookstore or elsewhere online. Students should verify what materials are needed with their instructor.
Financial aid
Students enrolled in the Graduate certificate programs are not federal aid eligible.
Students completing a certificate with a degree program may be eligible for financial aid in the form of grants, loans, scholarships, or employment. All of these make up a “Financial Aid Package” and may be offered singly or in various combinations.
