The Learning Is For Everyone or LIFE program is the first of its kind in the UW System. All of the eight students in the two-year program have some degree of intellectual disability. For James Collins, associate professor of special education, a major motivation to launch the program was is to provide more opportunities and better meet the needs of this under-served segment of the population.

Guest artist Sonic performs "Willful Devices"
Sonic, the musical duo made up of composer and computer musician Scott Miller and performer and improviser Pat O’Keefe, will present their unique musical performance, "Willful Devices," at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16, in Light Recital Hall. Each member of the audience will need to bring headphones in order to hear this celebration of the individual personalities of
instruments and machines.

Gardening Workshop Series
In the third and final workshop in the series, well-known horticulturalist Mark Dwyer will discuss the basics of landscape design, combining plants for color and texture and considering landscape maintenance. The workshop takes place on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 9 a.m. to noon.
