The Career and Technical Education Coordinator Certificate prepares candidates for endorsement of the Career and Technical Education (5093) license and prepares candidates with strong leadership and organizational skills to coordinate curricula and manage educational programs effectively. This certificate program is open to those who hold or are eligible to hold a tier II, III, or IV license in: Agriculture and Natural Resources; Business and Information Technology; Family and Consumer Sciences; Health Science; Marketing, Management & Entrepreneurship; or Technology & Engineering. One year of successful full-time classroom teaching experience is required in one area of either Agriculture and Natural Resources, Business and Information Technology, Family and Consumer Sciences, Health Science, Marketing, Management & Entrepreneurship, or Technology & Engineering. A background check is required before admission.

Career and Technical Education Coordinator DPI License 5093 - Online Graduate Certificate
The online graduate certificate in Career and Technical Education Coordinator DPI License (5093) is a 15-credit program. This program can be started in the spring, summer or fall terms, and at a pace that works best for you.
Certificate Requirements:
- CIBME 660 - Principles of Career & Technical Education, 3 credits
- CIBME 755 - Program PLanning & Evaluation, 3 credits
- CIBME 764 - Career and Technical Education Clinical Experience, 1 credit
- CIBME 765 - Career and Technical Coordinator Internship, 2 credits
- EDADMIN 769 - Leadership in Instruction Supervision and Personnel Management, 3 credits
- SCHBUSMG 781 - School Community Relations in A Diverse Society, 3 credits
Total credits: 15 credits
In addition to the above requirements, candidates wishing to earn Wisconsin teacher licensure 5093 for career and technical coordinator need to meet all current requirements of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Transcripts will be checked for DPI statutory requirements. Additional coursework or trainings may be required. Students must demonstrate content knowledge in specific subject areas through successful completion of a content-based portfolio. Candidates must complete two separate practicum experiences. A minimum gpa of 3.0 is required for all course work.

Students completing a certificate with a degree program may be eligible for financial aid in the form of grants, loans, scholarships, or employment. Since funds are limited, priority for aid is based on financial need and how promptly applications are filed.
