Campus Kudos

Kudos to Alissa Santana, management major, and Benjamin Stuckey, a sophomore in the College of Integrated Studies, who placed first and second respectively for excellence in research communication at the WiSys Quick Pitch competition, where students must effectively communicate their projects in three-minute public presentations. Santana presented on “The Distinctiveness of Marketing and Fundraising to Latinx Arts Organizations,” and Stuckey presented on “Gene Expression of Antibiotic Bacteria.” WiSys is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing research from the UW System comprehensive campuses.

Kudos to Dan Stalder, professor of psychology, who presented a paper titled, “‘What’s Your Problem?’ The Role of Language and Empathy in Committing the Fundamental Attribution Error,” in February at the annual meeting of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, co-authored by three independent study students: Christian Pecore, Josie Hammes, and Taylor Hammes.
