Kudos to faculty in the Department of Sociology, Criminology and Anthropology, who swept all three
annual faculty awards granted by the
Wisconsin Sociological Association.
Michael Friedson won the William H. Sewell Outstanding Scholarship Award,
Leda Nath won the George Floro Outstanding Service to the Discipline Award, and
Loren Wilbers won the Hans O. Mauksch Outstanding Teacher Award. Awards were given on Friday, Nov. 13, in a virtual conference.
Kudos to
Lauren Hanson, marketing major, for being awarded a $5,000 scholarship from Optimal, an education research publisher and scholarship provider.
Kudos to
Tara Liegel, a senior and double major in accounting and finance, who is among six international recipients of a 2020 Zonta International Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship. Founded in 1919 in New York, Zonta International is a global service organization dedicated to advancing the status of women. The Jane M. Klausman scholarship was created in 1998 for women pursuing degrees in business management. Other recipients are from Canada, Australia and Nepal, and the Wharton School of Business.
