Reinstatement Process
A student who has been academically dismissed at the end of a fall/spring semester and wishes to petition for reinstatement must follow the appropriate procedure below that describes their situation.
A student who has been academically dismissed and has sat out for one of more semesters must follow the appropriate procedure below that describes their situation.

- Submit an appeal to the Admissions and Academic Standards Committee by required deadline.
- Consult with academic advisor to review course options.
- If the appeal is approved, you will be required to participate in the Academic Recovery Program on Canvas during the semester.
*NOTE: A student who is Academically Dismissed may enroll in summer or winterim classes in an effort to improve their term or cumulative GPA and academic standing. A dismissed student is not eligible for financial aid for Summer or Winterim classes. If a student obtains a term GPA of 2.00 or higher, during Winterim/Summer term, the student would be reinstated on probation for the following Fall/Spring term.

- Apply for readmission through Undergraduate Admissions by appropriate deadlines when ready to return.
- Submit official transcripts if you've attended a college outside of UWW (if applicable).
- Meet with an academic advisor to review course options.
