Navigate Staff

Please remember that all actions and information inputted into Navigate (purple at the top of the site) are live and documented. If you are new to the platform, we recommend you first check out the training site (pink at the top of the site) where you can try out the functionalities of the platform without actions actually occurring.

UW-Whitewater launched Navigate in January 2020. This is a software platform designed to enhance academic advising, mentoring, and coordinated student support through:

  • Smart guidance for students at pivotal points to clarify next steps and a path to progress and degree completion
  • Appointment scheduling, communication, and follow up from units across campus to promote increased collaboration and accountability
  • Proactive, coordinated support, and intervention campus-wide to refer students toward resources necessary for success
  • Analytics that reveal opportunities to reduce barriers, identify intervention needs, and support student services

This system will empower students with information and tools and help advisors, faculty, and staff build more effective, timely support to foster student success.

The Navigate platform is designed to collect information that is vital to a student’s success and relevant to a student’s support network. This platform has many functions and uses that will help you efficiently manage your student caseload, provide targeted outreach and support to students, and easily alert other offices when a student is need of their support.

Please remember that all actions and information inputted into Navigate is live and documented.  If you are interested in trying out Navigate but don't want your actions to actually happen (for example, you don't want to actually send an email to students but you want to see what the process is like), you can use the  training site at any time to try out the various functionalities of the platform.

Interested in testing out using Navigate? There's a site for that! Visit the Navigate Training Site to click around, try various functionalities, and get used to the site. Since it's a training site, nothing you do will actually impact students or other users! When you're in the training site, you'll see a pink bar on the left. If you're seeing purple, proceed with caution: you're in the live UWW Navigate site, so your actions will trigger unintentional notifications to students and other staff.
