Dr. Jeannine M. Rowe is a Professor of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater who is passionate about helping students connect what they learn in the classroom to real-world practice. With a background in gerontology and years of experience in behavioral health, aging services, and program evaluation, she brings practical insight and applied learning into her teaching.
She teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in social work, aging, research, and program evaluation, and enjoys creating collaborative, engaging learning environments where students can think critically and build skills they’ll use beyond college. Mentoring students and supporting their growth as professionals is a central part of her work.
Dr. Rowe’s research is highly collaborative and community-engaged. She works with partners across health care, informatics, and technology to explore topics like aging, health, and emerging innovations such as artificial intelligence. Her work often focuses on evaluating programs and interventions, helping connect research to meaningful improvements in practice.
Through her work with CATLST, Dr. Rowe is especially interested in sharing practical, evidence-based teaching strategies and collaborating with colleagues to support effective, innovative teaching across disciplines.
