Discover Whitewater Series
The Discover Whitewater Series, a half marathon and 5k, is held in Whitewater every September. The race promotes the City of Whitewater and highlights its greatest features, along with encouraging a healthy lifestyle for people of all ages. Volunteer opportunities are also available!

$18,000 awarded so far to vaccinated students
Courtesy of donations to the UW-Whitewater Foundation in support of students and our vaccination efforts, we continue to randomly draw names of students who have submitted their vaccination record to the university and provide $500 awards.

Looking for good free food?
There are several options — on and off campus — for free food in Whitewater. If you are in need of extra meals because you are experiencing food insecurity (can’t afford food, are worried about finding your next meal) please call the Dean of Students Office at 262-472-1533 to speak with someone about your needs. MyMeals CARES is a program where My Meals may be added to your Hawk Card at no additional cost to you if you are in need.
- Free to-go spaghetti meals are offered 5-5:30 p.m. every Monday at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Whitewater. Pick up the meal at the 133 S. Franklin Street entrance.
- The Community Space at 834 E. Milwaukee Street in Whitewater offers a variety of food.
- Warhawk Pantry is open 2-5 p.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday in Drumlin, Room 143.
- The Warhawk Emergency Fund helps students stay in college by helping to ease financial burdens such as food insecurity.

The Community Space, located at 834 E. Milwaukee Street in Whitewater, Wisconsin, provides food, clothing, furniture and more. Hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30-11 a.m., Wednesdays 3:30-7 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to noon. All are welcome.
