Visitors parking at UW-Whitewater

Visitor Parking

UW-Whitewater has moved to LPR (License Plate Recognition) which means you will no longer receive or print out a parking permit to be displayed on your dash because your license plate will be your permit.   Therefore, it is the permit holder's responsibility to ensure the correct vehicle information is being entered at the time the permit is being purchased to avoid unwanted tickets.
Visitor parking permits are required to park on campus beginning at 11 pm Sunday until 5 pm Friday.   Daily visitor permits are available to purchase online at uww.aimsparking.com or in the Parking Services office during business hours.
The daily permits are valid in commuter parking lots except between the hours of 2 am to 5 am.   These permits are not valid in parking stalls with signs saying "Restricted", "Reserved", "No Parking", or "Passport Metered Stalls".   In addition you are not allowed to park overnight with this permit.   The cost is $5.00 per day.
Need a permit after Parking Services business hours, stop at our kiosk, located in the service drive behind the Visitor Center.   We offer daily and multi-day permits (up to 1 week) at $5.00 per day.   In addition we also offer hourly parking (1 to 4 hours).   The signs located on each side of the kiosk list the lots the permit is valid but remember, 2 am to 5 am, the vehicle must be in lot 19.

Overnight Guests:
  • Overnight guests who park during the hours of 2 am to 5 am are required to park in Lot 19
  • Visitors and guests may not park in other residential (yellow) lots, as those are reserved for student permit holders
  • Student permit holders, DO NOT ADD your guest's license plate information to your virtual permit account unless that will be the only vehicle using parking services at that time.  Two or more vehicles using a single virtual permit is NOT allowed.

Guests arriving on buses need to contact the Parking Office at 262-472-1011 to be advised where buses need to park.   Any type of bus needs to avoid parking in an academic/commuter parking lot unless given appropriate permision from the Parking Office.

Parking is enforced 24/7 except for University recognized holidays (see FAQ section for the list of Holidays) and starting at 5 pm Friday's until 11 pm Sunday's. Parking reserves the right to close lots when needed for events or for snow plowing, maintenance or special events.
