Dr. Winden’s major research field lies broadly in the area of environmental and natural resource economics.  Specific areas of interest involve improving environmental valuation techniques and utilizing value estimates to inform local, state, and national policy outcomes.  His other work involves survey design, as well as discrete choice modeling and conjoint choice experiments, for preference elicitation.


From Monona, Wisconsin. I did my undergraduate work at University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and received my B.S. Summa Cum Laude in Economics with Honors. I completed my Ph.D. at Ohio State University in Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics. My specialization is environmental and natural resource economics with emphases in valuation techniques, conjoint and discrete choice analysis, as well as survey design.
