ATTENTION:

 

The Department of Psychology in the College of Letters and Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater invites applications for a non-tenure track, Visiting Assistant Professor in School Psychology to teach graduate courses in the School Psychology Program.  The School Psychology Program is housed within the Psychology Department, grants the Education Specialist degree, is approved by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI), and is accredited by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).

 

This Academic staff position is a fixed-term appointment. This is a one academic-year appointment.

 

 

JOB DETAILS:

 

 The position is part-time and will include teaching 2-3 courses per semester in the graduate program depending on area of expertise. Courses may include Foundations of School Psychology (Fall 2023), Academic Assessment and Progress Monitoring (Fall 2023), Intellectual Assessment (Spring 2023), and supervision of practicum and internship each semester. Opportunities to supervise specialist project research are also available. We have a number of graduate assistants available to support instruction in courses. The successful candidate will have school-based experience as a school psychologist from which to support students’ learning. 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·     ABD, Ed.D., or Ph.D. in School Psychology

·     School-based experience as a school psychologist, National Certification as a School Psychologist (NCSP), and/or licensure (or license eligible) in Wisconsin
