No. IGeTS focuses on technology education and personalized support rather than hardware repair. We can help you learn how to use your device, troubleshoot many common software and settings issues, and answer technology questions. However, we do not repair broken devices or replace damaged hardware.

Technology support is provided by UW–Whitewater students who have been trained to deliver personalized, one-on-one technology assistance. Students work directly with participants to answer questions, demonstrate device features, troubleshoot common technology issues, and build digital skills and confidence.

IGeTS is an intergenerational program, bringing together university students and community members in meaningful learning experiences. Participants receive individualized support while students gain valuable experience working with older adults and adults with disabilities in community settings.

Each participant has up to 30 minutes with a UW–Whitewater student technology assistant. This provides dedicated time to ask questions, learn new technology skills, and receive personalized support. If you need more help, you are welcome to return during another drop-in session.
