About Us

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) fosters a supportive and dynamic environment for faculty, staff, and students to pursue research, innovation, scholarship, and creative activities. ORSP promotes scholarly excellence and supports grants and sponsored projects by providing comprehensive professional services to the university community.

ORSP offers a broad range of services to facilitate the growth of extramural funding opportunities, proposal development and submission, and the effective administration of sponsored projects. Through its Undergraduate Research, Innovation, and Creative Activities (URiCA) program, ORSP encourages and supports undergraduate students in expanding their scholarly, research, and creative experiences.

In addition, ORSP provides oversight and support for research involving human subjects, animal care and use, research ethics, and regulatory compliance. The office serves as a central resource for research administration by facilitating training and professional development opportunities for faculty and staff through tailored workshops, webinars, and other educational programs focused on grant writing and management, research compliance, and institutional policies and procedures related to research and sponsored programs.

If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact ORSP by visiting our office in Roseman Hall, Room 2005, calling (262) 472-5212, or emailing orsp@uww.edu.
