Subject Area Tutoring

We offer tutorial services for numerous courses across the UW-Whitewater campus. To address these needs, we have many highly-qualified tutors, ready to help you achieve your academic goals. 

One of the keys to success in tutoring is the relationship between you and your tutor. Be sure to follow the link to the bio for all the tutors offering services for your course(s) to help find someone with whom you will have the best opportunity to succeed. We're here to help!

If you don’t see a tutor listed for a class you need help in, consider reaching out to your instructor to schedule a meeting during office hours to get extra help. If you or your instructor have a recommendation for a specific to hire, you can make a request, and we will post it on Handshake.

Tutoring Details and Procedures

No-Show Policy

Our "No-Show" policy is that after one missed appointment without canceling in advance, a "No Show" warning is issued, and after three such warnings, you may be prohibited from scheduling further appointments for the current term at the discretion of the individual tutor. Sessions may be canceled up to one hour prior to the scheduled session. Students who do not cancel in time and fail to appear for a session will be counted as a "No-Show." We have this policy to try to ensure that all students needing help can be served. When canceling a session, please contact both the tutor and Campus Tutorial Services' main office at tutorctr@uww.edu.

Tutoring Resources

All tutoring appointments can be held virtually or in person and should be scheduled through Navigate under the "Appointments" tab. Please see the list of Subject Areas below to find tutors available for assistance. If you have additional questions, feel free to email the tutor directly (be sure to C/C tutorctr@uww.edu). Get step-by-step instructions on how to use Navigate.

If you need writing assistance and do not see your course listed on Navigate, please reach out to one of our writing tutors directly via email to schedule an appointment or contact Campus Tutorial Services by email at tutorctr@uww.edu.
