In Great Teaching, Nick Hwang, an assistant professor of communication at UW-Whitewater, works extensively with students in the media and game development program.

"With each student (who) comes into my classroom I try to understand where they're coming from. A little bit about their background, so that I can tailor some of the material to meet them where their understanding level of a certain topic is. And then also push them into higher understanding, practice, experience."
