About Us

The University Staff Council (USC) is a shared governance group officially recognized by UW-Whitewater to be an active participant in institutional governance, including the immediate decision-making and policy development at UW-Whitewater. This is in accordance with Universities of Wisconsin Regent Policy Document 20-20, which extends the rights provided to other groups in Wis. Stat. Chapter 36. 

The USC focuses on the formulation, review, and representation in the development of, all policies and procedures concerning University Staff members, including University Staff personnel matters.

The USC may make recommendations, consider proposals, and raise concerns to institutional leadership. This includes identifying representatives for campus committees and bringing issues from the University Staff’s perspective to the forefront for broader consideration.

Register now for the Recognition and Retirement Celebration Luncheon and All-Staff Meeting 

This year, the University Staff Council Employee Recognition Committee decided to offer a lunch celebration to recognize our retirees and campus University Staff Excellence Award winners. Immediately after, the All-Staff, or General Member, meeting will be held in the same room. Registration and payment are required to attend the lunch, but not the meeting.
