UW-Whitewater’s Musical Theatre Day is an opportunity for middle and high school-age performers to work one-on-one with college voice and theatre faculty, meet college voice and theatre majors, and participate in musical theatre performance classes and small group sessions. Each participant will receive an individual voice lesson with a UW-Whitewater faculty member. Selected participants will perform at the end of the day on the final recital, and all participants will take part in a combined ensemble led by UW-Whitewater choral faculty. This clinic is available to singers in 7th grade and older, voice teachers, and choir directors.
Limited to the first 50 registrants.

College of Arts and Communication Academic Programs
Our students are hands-on learners who feel at home in our college as they create what they love.
At the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater you’ll find two campuses with plenty of room to learn, grow and thrive. Warhawks enjoy the bragging rights of paying less — our combined tuition, room/board and fees is the lowest of the four-year campuses in Wisconsin. That low cost combined with our stellar outcomes — Warhawks graduate career-ready, with 99% employed in their field or in graduate school post-graduation — earned us the affordability badge from the Colleges of Distinction.
UW-Whitewater's Musical Theatre Day is a great opportunity for singers to receive coaching on their audition repertoire!
All attendees are requested to prepare in advance a vocal solo to work on in their individual lesson. Please list the title and composer of the solo, and send a digital copy (PDF) of the score to Dr. Wood (firstname.lastname@example.org) no later than Saturday, September 23, 2023. Students are advised to ask their voice/choir/music instructors for help selecting a solo. You will be asked to provide in the registration the title, composer, and larger work (if applicable) of the vocal solo, if known. Students who do not yet know which piece they will prepare can indicate TBA, but they will need to send this information no later than Saturday, September 23, 2023.

For that reason, we do not prohibit cell phones at camp, but ask that cell phone use does not interfere with the event and other participants. Parents are responsible for setting clear guidelines for cell use with their child. We will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.
