Use of accessible parking spaces is restricted to vehicles with DIS (disabled) plates, DIS VET plates, or the identification card issued by the Wisconsin (or other state) Department of Transportation. A paid UW-W permit is also required on vehicles operated by/for UW Whitewater students, faculty, and staff.
Temporary disabled parking permits will be issued for periods not to exceed two weeks to persons with obvious, short term disabilities that substantially limit mobility. Periods longer than two weeks require a physician's statement that identifies the need for disabled parking and the ending date of the period for which it is required. The cost of a temporary disabled parking permit is $20.00 per week unless another UW Whitewater parking permit is currently held, in which case there is no additional cost.
The Parking Services office is located in the Visitor Center, 826 Starin Road. In-Session business office hours are Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays and during winterim and summer breaks. Phone (262) 472-1011.
