UW-Whitewater offers Cisco Jabber as the campus instant messenger service for employees (including student employees). In addition to instant messaging, Cisco Jabber allow faculty and staff the ability to take and receive calls, view call history and manage voicemails.
Cisco Jabber is pre-installed on all campus-owned workstations. If your workstation does not have Cisco Jabber installed, you can install it from ZENworks Self-Service (PC) or Casper Self-Service (Mac).
UW-Whitewater also offers a way for students and guests to directly contact UW-Whitewater employees using voice/video for FREE. Use the app called Jabber Guest from any Mac, Windows, Apple iOS or Android device, to make a voice and/or video calls directly to UW-Whitewater employees. Please see the "Training and Documentation" tab for instructions on configuring Jabber Guest on your device.
The ICIT Technology Training team offers UW-Whitewater faculty and staff live, hands-on, training sessions throughout the year. Hands-on training sessions are not currently available to students. Please visit the SignUp Tool page to view and register for available classes offered by the ICIT Technology Training and Advancement team.
