Facility Use and Event Insurance
Facilities and Grounds Use Policies and Guidelines
Facility and grounds use is regulated by the institution’s Facilities and Grounds Policy (UWW 740), and by Chapter UWS 18 and Chapter UWS 21 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code.
Any events or facility uses that involve minors or youth programs must complete the training requirements outlined on the Youth Compliance Services website and fulfill the necessary event insurance requirements.
UW-Whitewater Event Insurance Requirements
The University of Wisconsin - Whitewater evaluates insurance requirements for third-party facility use based on the nature of the proposed use and the associated level of risk. Third parties may be required to provide proof of insurance before their event is approved or upon request from the University.
If Insurance is Required:
Third parties required to provide proof of insurance must submit a Certificate of Insurance (COI) demonstrating the minimum coverage requirements below. Depending on the nature of the proposed use and associated risks, additional coverages may be required. Additionally, the COI must include an endorsement naming the “Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System, its officers, employees, and agents" as an Additional Insured under the general liability and any other policies specified by the university.
The University reserves the right to require proof of insurance or additional coverage for any event or activity based on the proposed use of university facilities and associated risks.

Students and Student Organizations:
