Rec Sports is happy to offer access to select items in our Equipment Room!
The Equipment Room is mainly responsible for the oversight of general equipment rentals, select activity set-up and racquetball court reservations. The Equipment Room is also home to the Williams Center Lost and Found. Although equipment rental is not included in a Rec Sports membership, rentals are free of charge with a valid UW-Whitewater-issued HawkCard. Select equipment is also available to rent for a fee.
Located in room 102 of the Williams Center (next to the athletic training room across from athletics team display cases along the main hallway), the Equipment Room is open during most Williams Center hours of operations and is staffed by our friendly group of students who are willing to help you enjoy your time in our facility!

Equipment is to be returned 15 minutes prior to close the same day it is checked out.
Lost and Found for the Williams Center is located within the Equipment Room (room 102). All items that come in are documented and stored in bins and cabinets behind the front desk window of the Equipment Room. Items can be claimed during normal business hours. Please be sure to bring an ID when claiming lost items.
Items of value (i.e. phones, wallets, jewelry, glasses, etc.), can be claimed at the Rec Sports Office, room 100 of the Williams Center.
The Equipment Room and Rec Sports hold no responsibility for items that have been lost within the Williams Center.
Please note that all water bottles are disposed of after seven days of being held in the lost and found area of the Equipment Room.
All items not claimed by the end of each semester (and Spring Break during spring semester) will be donated to local charities.
Any student, staff or faculty member holding a valid HawkCard is permitted to check out equipment available at the Equipment Room window within the Williams Center (Room 102). All equipment rental is free of charge. Equipment returns are to be made the same day as check out, no exceptions.
Please note that equipment rental is not included in a gym membership.
All equipment checked out from the Equipment Room at the Williams Center is required to be returned at least 15 minutes prior to close each day. No overnight check out is permitted.
For equipment not returned, a late fee of $3 per day will placed against your student account. An email will be sent to your UWW email account as a courtesy reminder of the missing equipment. If equipment is still not returned within the time indicated, a replacement charge will then be placed on your student account.
You are responsible for returning the same piece(s) of equipment checked out on your HawkCard. If equipment is lost/stolen and/or damaged while checked out under your name, you will be responsible for the charges incurred.
