Williams Center Weight Room

We are excited to offer 12,000 square feet of fitness space for you to reach your fitness goals. The Williams Center is shared facility with UW-W Athletics and offers a wide variety of equipment. The main floor is 8,000 square feet of strength based equipment. Equipment includes dumbbells (5lb - 110lb), racks, benches, Precor selectorized, Hammer Strength plate loaded and 13 brand new platforms.

The second floor is 4,000 square feet of cardio equipment (Precor upright and recumbant bikes, Woodway and Precor treadmills, Freemotion treadclimbers, Precor AMTs and ellipticals, Stairmaster steppers, Life Fitness powermills, and a SciFit upper body erg).

Welcome to the University Fitness Center located in the basement of Wells Hall!

We are excited to offer 4,300 square feet of fitness space for you to reach your fitness goals. University Fitness offers a wide variety of equipment, Strength equipment includes dumbbells (5lb -70lbs), racks, benches, and Precor selectorized equipment, Cardio equipment includes (Precor upright and recumbant bikes, Woodway and Precor treadmills, Precor AMTs and ellipticals, and a Stairmaster stepmill.

University Fitness is also the home of the Group Cycling Studio. Wells Hall door #6 off of Lauterdale Dr. (east side) is unlocked during business hours for members to use.

Policies

  • Membership/Guest Pass required, age restrictions apply
  • Members and guests are not permitted to workout when the facility is closed and/or without staff present.
  • Dress Code:
  • Shirts must cover FULL torso. Backless shirts below the shoulder blades are not permitted.
  • Shorts/pants free of belts, studs, rivets and uncovered zippers.
  • Shoes that are closed-toe/heel, covering entire foot.
  • Wipe down equipment before and after each use.
  • Bring a second pair of shoes during inclement weather.
  • Phone calls must be taken outside of the facilities.
  • No unauthorized photos or videos permitted.
  • Bags and personal belongings must be stored in cubbies or lockers provided (bring your own lock).
  • UW-Whitewater, Rec Sports and staff are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

These policies are in place to help protect against the transmission of viruses and infections. If dress code is not met, staff will ask individuals to change or leave the weight room. Subject to change at any time.
