All spring semester books must be returned to the Textbook Rental no later than 4:15 p.m. on Friday, May 18th.
Late fines will be assessed on unreturned books beginning on Monday, May 21st.
Books not returned by June 18th will be billed to student accounts and will not be accepted for return or credit.
Summer session books may be checked out at any time now provided that all spring books have been returned and your record has been cleared.
A UWW student ID is required of ALL students (even visiting students who normally attend other universities) for every transaction in the Textbook Rental. NO EXCEPTIONS. A student ID may be obtained at the HawkCard office on the second floor of the University Center.
Important Information
The Textbook Rental is for use by undergraduate students only.
The due date for rented books is the last official day of the semester. It is the day your instructors must turn in grades.
Please give yourself plenty of time to arrive prior to the closing times listed above. Just like Walmart, we lock the doors promptly at closing time and no latecomers will be allowed in. We need time to shut down the computers, clear the drawers, etc. before we can leave.
Late Fees
All books are due back no later than the closing time on the final day of the semester. Late fines will begin at the rate of $20 for the first book and $2.50 for each additional book.
We remind you that there is an additional service charge of 15 to have your late fines billed to your student account.
Things to note...
Books not returned within 30 calendar days of the due date will be billed to the student's account at full retail price with no option for return or credit.
Books damaged beyond use will not be accepted and must be paid for or replaced.
Writing and highlighting in books is not allowed. Minimum fine is $5; maximum - up to full price of the book.
Books lost or stolen must be paid for or replaced.
Incompletes must be reported to rental staff prior to the end of the semester.
General hours
Beginning Monday, February 6 through Friday, May 4, Textbook Rental hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Extended Hours
Generally, extended hours are 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday the first three weeks of the fall and spring semesters, and 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday during exam week.
