The legal drinking age limit in the state of Wisconsin is 21. Please visit the University Housing webpage to view the alcohol policy.

The possession and/or use of illegal drugs and/or drug paraphernalia is in violation of state and federal law and UW-Whitewater policy. In addition, being in the presence of illegal drugs and/or drug paraphernalia and misuse and abuse of legal drugs are also considered violations of the drug policy. Suspected violations may be referred to the University Police, the Student Conduct System, or University Conduct.

The University also has a tobacco-free campus policy in place for all buildings including academic and residential. Smoking is prohibited in ALL buildings on the UW‐Whitewater campus. Smoking in faculty offices and University vehicles is also prohibited under this policy. To mitigate the established health risks associated with exposure to second‐hand smoke, UW‐Whitewater also prohibits smoking within twenty‐five (25) feet of all building entrances, air intakes, operable windows or other designated areas.

Possession of dangerous weapons in University buildings, on the work-site, and in University vehicles, is prohibited (UWS 18.10(3)). A dangerous weapon shall include guns, knives, explosives, or any other device determined by the University, which in the manner used or intended is capable of producing death, harm to person or property, or bodily injury. Violation of this policy shall make the offender subject to appropriate disciplinary or legal action. The UW- Whitewater Police Department provides free weapon locker storage for individuals on campus. Please contact us anytime regarding weapon storage.

Introduction

Welcome to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Utility Vehicle Training presented by University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Police Services. You must complete the training course and receive an operator's license in order to be allowed to operate utility vehicles (ie: golf carts, Kubotas, etc.) on the UW-Whitewater Campus, including all sidewalks on the campus. Instructions

  1. Watch the Utility Vehicle Training Video in its entirety.
  2. Once you have completed watching the video and feel confident in your knowledge of the information given to you during the video, take the Utility Vehicle Training Quiz.
  3. Take your certificate and the Utility Vehicle Operator form to your supervisor for sign off to show you passed the training quiz.

The quiz is composed of twelve questions, some true and false and some multiple choice.

Once the quiz is successfully completed, your Utility Vehicle Operators License will be created and can be printed immediately after.

You must carry your Utility Vehicle Operators License with you at all times while operating a Utility Vehicle on the UW-Whitewater campus.
