In this workshop, veteran Spanish heritage language and English language arts teacher Jen López will introduce you to some of the pillars of a workshop-based language arts class: quick writes, mini-lessons, conferring with students, and more. These methods will help you create a solid classroom routine, give students choice and voice in their learning, and maximize productive work in your time together. Come prepared to do what you’ll be asking your students to do!
Note: All languages are welcome in this workshop! Jen is Spanish/English bilingual and translanguaging will be used throughout.
