Benefits of dual enrollment
Save money
Students can save 40 percent or more on each college course they successfully complete. Special tuition rates are available based on the dual enrollment courses they choose, and fees for online courses can be reduced or completely waived. Dual enrollment participants do not pay student segregated fees, and costs may be shared with their high schools.
Students who are not connected to a school district (i.e., homeschooled students) must remit payment prior to the start of class.
Earn transferable credits
By participating in dual enrollment, students can begin earning college credit — in person or online — that can transfer with them after high school graduation. Flexible course offerings accommodate the busy schedules of high school students, who are involved in sports and other extracurricular activities.
Get ready for what’s next
Dual enrollment classes prepare high school students for the rigor of college courses, allowing them to feel prepared and confident when they become full-time college students. Some students even complete a degree program while still in high school, offering them the ability to enter the workforce sooner.
