In this session, your facilitator, Jen López (2020 Teacher of the Year from the Minnesota Council of Teachers of Languages & Cultures)  will explore and discuss the benefits and importance of including the arts in language arts-focused heritage language classes. Descriptions of successful creative projects will be shared along with examples of student work. There will be time to brainstorm ideas and share your own successes in incorporating the arts in your curriculum.

Note: All languages are welcome in this workshop! Jen is Spanish/English bilingual and translanguaging will be used throughout.
