Alexander Latham
Assistant Professor,

Dr. Latham (or, Dr. Alex usually) is an Assistant Professor in Psychology at UW-Whitewater. He graduated from UW-Madison with his B.A. in Psychology and his Ph.D. in School Psychology. While at UW-Madison, he was an Institute of Education Sciences Pre-Doctoral Fellow in the Interdisciplinary Training Program. Afterwards, he spent two years as the school psychologist for a local K-5 elementary school.  Dr. Alex's research focuses mostly on using assessment data to better support struggling young readers. However, he is also interested in projects that seek to understand and improve practitioners' decision-making processes more broadly. Dr. Alex is passionate about using strong, rigorous scientific and methodological practices and promoting equitable access to high-quality, evidence-based supports.
