Yunsun Huh, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Before coming to UWW, Dr. Huh held an Associate Professor position at University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, working in the Department of Economics and Department for Democracy and Justice Studies, since 2011.
Dr. Huh has taught Principles of Microeconomics (Econ 201), Economics of Discrimination (Econ 352), and Managerial Economics (Econ 737) at UWW. Dr. Huh has taught a broad array of courses in previous institutions, including Intermediate Microeconomics, Labor Economics, Gender and Economic Justice, Gender Empowerment, Labor and Migration, and History of Economic Thought.
Dr. Huh’s academic interests are broadly in the area of Applied Microeconomics and her research focuses on the intersection of the Economics of Gender and Discrimination, Labor Economics, and Immigration; this is reflected in her recent publications, conference presentations, and dissertation. In addition, Dr. Huh conducts research related to Economic History, Demography and Health Economics utilizing large data sets, specifically the Utah Population Database and National Survey Data of Korea.
