Course Materials Committee
FUNCTION
- To make policy recommendations to the Faculty Senate related to acquiring textbooks and other course materials, such as Canvas-integrated supplements, one-time-use passcodes, and open educational resources (OER);
- To support initiatives that identify and evaluate new course resources when they become available;
- To review concerns, challenges, or other issues related to course materials expressed by individual students, faculty, and staff;
- To communicate and coordinate with the Textbook Rental Service
MEMBERSHIP
6 voting members
- One faculty member elected from and by each constituency:
- College of Arts and Communication/Library
- College of Business and Economics
- College of Education and Professional Studies
- College of Integrated Studies
- College of Letters and Sciences
- One student member, chosen by Whitewater Student Government.
TERM
Two-year staggered terms. One year term for student.
