Once admitted to UW-Whitewater, one of your next steps is to attend a Warhawks SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising, & Registration) program. During Warhawks SOAR you will:
Warhawks SOAR is required for all new students and is held from 8:15am- 4:00pm in the University Center. You must attend the entire program in order to register for classes. When you register to attend Warhawks SOAR, the following non-refundable fees must be paid to reserve your seat in the program: $90 new student fee, $15 for each guest attending. Additionally, a $100 enrollment deposit is due.

Your UW-Whitewater email address is your formal communication with the university. All bills, notifications, confirmations and emergency updates will be sent via email, so be sure to check your UW-W email often! We encourage you to install it on your smartphone. Your username is your Net ID which was included on your admissions letter. For the first time you log-in, your password is your 7 digit student id number.
The Math Placement Test (MPT) is required of all new students without previous college-level coursework. Be sure to take your Math Placement Test at least two weeks prior to coming to Warhawks SOAR as your registration in a math course and other courses with a math prerequisite (i.e. computer science, biology, social sciences, etc.) depends on it. Submit your signed housing contract with your $125 deposit to University Housing as soon as possible. Access the housing contract here: uww.edu/housing/assignments/housingcontracts.
The FAFSA is available at fafsa.ed.gov starting Oct. 1, with a priority deadline of Jan. 1. For students who complete the FAFSA and submit required documents by Jan. 1, award letters will start to go out in February.
