HIGH-RISE HOUSING

Join a large, eclectic community at UW-Whitewater’s largest residence hall. Wells East and Wells West are each 10-story, high-rise towers located in the northeast corner of campus. With Esker Dining Hall, two of the largest residential parking lots on campus, and Starin Park close by, you’ve got both a large community of people and the resources you need to live your best life.

Wells West Hall and Wells East Hall are named in honor of Cord O. Wells, who served as vice president of academic affairs at UW-Whitewater from 1925 to 1967.

Room information for Wells Halls

A virtual image shows a square room with two sets of shelves, two desks with chairs, two beds, and a window.

A standard room in Wells East Hall is “L” shaped and approximately 9 feet wide (in the narrow end), 12 feet wide (in the long end) and 16 feet long. The virtual image above is of a standard room — the exact dimensions may vary from hall to hall, and from room to room.

After receiving their room assignment, students will receive a link from Roomies. The link includes specific dimensions of the room and all the pieces of furniture in the room, and allows you to move and adjust room components virtually to visualize what the room could look like in preparation for move-in day. (Please note, it will be the responsibility of the student to move furniture and lay out the room on move-in day.)

Wells East includes a quiet floor for students who prefer a more relaxed environment.
