Instant Messenger (Jabber)


UW-Whitewater Employees

UW-Whitewater offers Cisco Jabber as the campus instant messenger service for employees (including student employees). In addition to instant messaging, Cisco Jabber allow faculty and staff the ability to take and receive calls, view call history and manage voicemails.

Cisco Jabber is pre-installed on all campus-owned workstations. If your workstation does not have Cisco Jabber installed, you can install it from Software Center (PC) or Self-Service (Mac).

To address several recent Cisco Jabber security alerts, ICIT will be issuing an update for the Jabber client.

UPDATED 3/31/2021: Install Cisco Jabber on your personal device to receive calls from home by using the most recently issued Jabber version: 12.9.
