InformaCast Instructions

To sign up for Informacast, use the following steps:

  1. Go to UW-Whitewater Emergency Alert Text Messaging to register.
  2. Select your registration type: Family member signup or UWW student, faculty, or staff.
  3. Enter your phone number and choose your opt-in location alerts. You may choose to receive notifications for both campus locations.
  4. Select the green "Save" button.
  5. Once you are registered, download and install the app onto your device.

  6. If installing on an iOS device be sure to allow push notifications. If installed on an Android device notifications are enabled by default.
  7. Open the app and enter your email address. If you are a student, instructor, or staff, be sure to use your UW-Whitewater email.
    1. If you have a UW-Whitewater Net-ID and password enter them to complete the process. The app will automatically log you back in whenever your device reboots.
  8. In the event of a campus emergency, you will receive a message.
