InformaCast

InformaCast is UW-Whitewater's emergency notification system used to help keep students and staff safe on campus. InformaCast is a free service available to active UWW members and family (text messages are subject to wireless carrier charges) InformaCast offers text message and mobile app alerts for emergencies, like weather incidents and crime-related situations.

Availability of the notifications and mobile application varies, depending on your relationship with the university.

• Students are automatically signed up to receive emergency text messages and can add/verify their phone number in WINS. Students can also use the Informacast mobile app.
• Family members can sign up to receive emergency text messages on or after the first day your student starts school or after your family member starts employment. Use of the mobile app is not available to family members; only text messaging is available.
• Employees can sign up to receive emergency text messages and can utilize the mobile app.
