Fall and Spring Undergraduate Research Day

Each semester, the Undergraduate Research Program holds a research event. This event, typically known as Fall/Spring Undergraduate Research Day, is an opportunity for students involved in our programs to share their research ideas and findings with the rest of campus. At any UR Day, you should expect to see posters set up all around the Hamilton Room with student researchers stationed by each one. Any guest at the event, as well as fellow researchers, are welcome to start up a conversation by someone’s poster and learn more about their project.

As you may know, URP invites research to occur in ANY field! For projects not as easily encompassed on a poster (fine arts displays, dance performances, etc.), students get the chance at Spring UR Day specifically to share such creative projects.

There will be no Spring UR Day 2020 or 2021 because UW-Whitewater is hosting UW-System Symposium in the spring both years! See you at the big event!

UW-System Symposium

Symposium is held at a different UW-System university each spring. This event is very similar to Spring Undergraduate Research Day, except that it’s at the state level rather than just including UW-Whitewater students.

For both spring 2020 and spring 2021, UW-Whitewater is hosting UW-System Symposium! More details are to come and registration is available on the site linked above.

National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR)

Students from UW-Whitewater that attend this event are selected by Undergraduate Research staff. If you are interested in attending, consider talking to our staff.

NCUR 2020 is held March 26-28, 2020 at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana.

Research in the Rotunda

Students from UW-Whitewater that attend this event are selected by Undergraduate Research staff. If you are interested in attending, consider talking to our staff.

Research at the Rotunda is held Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in the Capitol Rotunda in Madison, Wisconsin.
