Corey B. Davis is a professor in the Department of Communication at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. His research and teaching interests are in public relations, persuasion and political communication, focusing on political campaign communication, environmental communication and corporate and political apologia. Dr. Davis also coordinates the fully online M.S. in Communication program and graduate certificates in Health Advocacy, Organizational Communication, Social & New Media, and Strategic Communication. He holds a Ph.D. in communication from University of Missouri, a M.S. in Communication and a B.S. in Public Relations from Illinois State University, and an A.A.S. from Illinois Central College.

Outside of academia, Professor Davis designed and implemented curriculum and coordinated logistics for high school-aged students at leadership and technology themed conferences ranging in size from 200 to 1,700 students at gatherings in California, New York, and the Washington, D.C. area. Prior to that experience, Dr. Davis worked as an appropriations analyst for the Illinois Senate, briefing state senators, including then state Senator Obama, on the policy and political implications of pending budget legislation.  He also has been a paid field operative for several political campaigns at multiple levels across the country.  Dr. Davis lives in Whitewater with his wife and three children.
