Safe Sex Express

Safe Sex Express (SSE) is a no cost, discreet ordering service for sexual health products. The program is available to all UW-Whitewater students. Goals of this program include: 

• Increase access to safe sex products such as condoms, lube, and oral dams and remove barriers related to stigma, privacy, and cost
• Provide education on topics such as proper condom use, consent, healthy relationships, and STI testing
• Increase the use of safe sex products, while decreasing STI’s and unplanned pregnancy

Any UW-W student can place an order using our request form below. Orders are limited to 20 products per month. Orders requests are filled weekly by our UHCS wellness team. Each order is placed in discreet packaging to ensure student’s privacy. Students can pick up their order at the front desk of Ambrose Health Center or have it mailed to their residence hall address. If requesting pick-up, students will receive an email when the order is ready. If requesting on-campus mail delivery, orders are delivered within 3-5 business days.

Product options include:

External Condoms
External condoms can be use for vaginal, anal, or oral sex on a penis and with toys. SSE offers the following types of external condoms:

• ONE® Classic Select condoms are standard sized
• ONE® Legend XL condoms are larger sized
• Lifestyles® non-latex condoms are standard sized and made of polyisoprene

These condoms are spermicide-free, lightly coated with silicone lubricant for increased comfort and sensitivity, and can help to prevent unplanned pregnancy and STIs.

Internal Condoms 
Internal condoms can be used for vaginal or anal sex and with toys. FC2® is currently the only brand of internal condom on the market that is FDA approved. FC2® is made of nitrile, a latex-free material. It’s spermicide-free and is coated with a silicone lubricant for increased comfort and sensitivity. When used correctly, it helps to prevent unplanned pregnancy and STIs. Currently, internal condoms are only available at UHCS via prescription, which is covered by most insurances with no out-of-pocket expenses. Call 262-472-1300 to setup a free appointment. Personal Lubricant
Personal lubricant, also known as lube, can be used for vaginal, anal, or oral sex, and with toys. SSE offers ONE Oasis® water-based lubricant. Water-based lubricants are safe to use with latex, polyisoprene and polyurethane condoms. When used with condoms, personal lubricant increases pleasure and reduces risk of condom breakage. They wash off with water, won’t stain your sheets or clothes, and do not have parabens, oils, or spermicide.

Oral Dams
Oral dams, also known as dental dams, are thin latex sheets that can be used as barriers for oral sex on a vagina or anus and with toys. Oral dams are specifically designed to prevent the spread of STIs. SSE offers TRUST® latex sheets in assorted flavors (size: 6×10″).

UHCS offers additional sexual health services including: 

• Free, confidential testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including but not limted to chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes, syphilis and HIV
• Treatment for STIs, including partners who are non-UW-W students
• PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis), a prescription medication for people who are at risk of HIV 
• Pregnancy testing and options counseling
• Birth control presciptions and options counseling
• Cervical cancer screening (pap and HPV testing)
