FUTURE OF HIGHER EDUCATION

UW-Whitewater, along with all higher education institutions in Wisconsin and the U.S., is faced with new challenges that impact our work as campus staff. Public support is declining, expectations for trained graduates are increasing, and society's perceptions of higher education have shifted.  This is scheduled for Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 2:00 - 3:00 pm in UC 261.  For more information, click here.

Supervisor Training Sessions

New this semester is a series of training sessions  designed to help those staff who hire and/or supervise student employees.  We encourage those interested to register in advance at http://my.uww.edu.  The Student Employee Supervisor Training sessions will be found within the Career & Leadership Development offerings.  Each session is offered two times.  Feel free to attend one or more of the topics.  For more information, click here.

University Personnel System Update

New personnel rules and policies will take effect July 1, 2015.  The UPS Policy Committee is working on individual policies and looking for input and participation from all classified staff.

Click the link to the left to view update information and links for additional information.

Facebook Page

The University Staff Council is now on Facebook.  The page is for classified staff members to interact with each other and their representatives on USC Council about issues that affect employment or to share information with each other.  USC Council and committee members will also share events and resources and add files that are relevant to classified employees.  More information may be found at the Facebook link.

USC PURPOSE

The purpose of creating a University Staff Council is to provide an opportunity for classified employees to contribute to the furtherance of the UW-Whitewater mission and the overall mission of the University of Wisconsin System.
