Climate Change and Changing Seasons in Wisconsin and the Great Lakes Region
The scientific consensus is that the Earth is experiencing a significant change in its climate but the type of change varies from region to region. From the global perspective the overall temperature of our planet is warming and has been since the mid 1800s. This warming has caused some regional locations to become warmer but some are getting colder. Some local regions have been experiencing more precipitation and storms while others are becoming more arid. What about Wisconsin and the larger Great Lakes Region? Are these places getting warmer or colder, wetter or drier, and are these changes uniform in all of the seasons? This presentation will answer those questions as we explore the changes in the climate in our area and how those conditions may continue to change into the future.

Lectures will be held on Mondays at 3 p.m. in the Olm Fellowship Hall of Fairhaven Senior Services, 435 West Starin Road, Whitewater. They are open to the public. Registration is not required. Masks may be required in common areas at Fairhaven Senior Services. Please be prepared on arrival. Lectures will be recorded and posted to our website and YouTube channel. Videos of lectures in this series and in past series can be accessed for free any time after they are posted online.
