Policies & Agreements
In support of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's mission of teaching, research, and public service, the University provides technological resources to students, faculty, staff, and guests - along with a commitment to providing a safe and secure environment.
The reliability, availability and adequate capacity of technology resources is critical to the day-to-day functions of the University. Each member of the campus community (students, faculty, staff, and guests) is expected to protect the integrity of technological resources and to know and adhere to university rules, regulations and guidelines for their appropriate use. Those who use the campus technology, which includes but is not limited to technological hardware, software, wired and wireless internet access, network storage, network infrastructure and campus email are expected to do so responsibly and adhere to all local, state, and federal laws along with all other policies and procedures set forth by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and the UW-System.
Each institution of the University of Wisconsin System shares in the mission of the UW System which is to develop human resources, to discover and disseminate knowledge, to extend knowledge and its application beyond the boundaries of its campuses, to serve and stimulate society by developing in students heightened intellectual, cultural, and humane sensitivities, scientific, professional, and technological expertise; and a sense of value and purpose. Inherent in this mission are methods of instruction, research, extended education, and public service designed to educate people and improve the human condition. Basic to every purpose of the UW System is the search for truth.
