ECONOMICS
Bachelor’s Degree Programs
Economics is an interdisciplinary field that’s part social sciences, part business. The critical thinking, analytical and mathematical skills you develop in an economics degree program can prepare you for a broad range of careers.
Our economics majors are hardworking, disciplined and curious; and they use these traits — and their creative nature — to apply analysis to real-world solutions.
Jobs for economists are expected to grow faster than the national average over the next decade, with a median salary of $115,730.
In addition to our on-campus program, we offer the same high-quality curriculum and instruction in an online format.
100% career and graduate school placement
All of our recent economics majors were employed or pursuing an advanced degree after graduation (2023-24 research survey respondents).

The College Fed Challenge

Harvard. University of Chicago. UW-Whitewater. Yes, that’s right. Our economics students hold their own (and sometimes defeat) their peers from Ivy League institutions in the College Fed Challenge. The annual competition encourages students to learn about the U.S. economy, monetary policymaking, and the role of the Federal Reserve System. Along the way, students build critical thinking, teamwork and public speaking skills.
